Our Swirl Cup is a cup that is designed to tell the story about traditional ceramic craftsmanship. Made in coil technique, a technique as old as pottery itself, the cup is later slipcast, making this cup into a functional art piece in your home. 
 
Traditionally the coiled layers are merged upon finishing the piece, however, in Swirl Cup these layers are kept, to shine a light to the process of building a vessel, layer upon layer. Thus we hope you can imagine the process of rolling each coil by hand and building of each layer.
 
As times are changing, we hope that with this piece you will feel connected to craftsmanship behind each object we live among. 
 
This cup is made in porcelain, and glazed with a transparent glaze.
